Meet the Creative Learning Team
Eleanor Cocks, Head of Creative Learning
I am relatively new to Kent and started my role at Gulbenkian in August 2015. Before this I ran a grassroots participatory arts charity for disadvantaged young people in South London. I love my role at Gulbenkian. It’s amazing to be working at such a great venue with such a friendly team – all of whom are committed to empowering children and young people through the arts. I am passionate about arts for social change and committed to ensuring that Gulbenkian offers a wide range of activities to all children and young people, particularly those who have limited opportunities. I am really excited to oversee the continuing development of the Creative Learning department over the next few years (and beyond!).

Neelam Saredia, Creative Learning Assistant
Hi, I’m Neelam!
I’m based in Canterbury but have worked with a few different arts organisations around Kent including Wise Words Festival, Nucleus Arts, Canterbury Festival and Ideas Test. I have an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Kent and my background is in poetry and spoken word. As Creative Learning Assistant, I ensure our core programmes for children and young people are running smoothly. This includes admin and events support for ART31KENT, TECH31KENT, TECH(Y)31, Youth Theatre, NT Connections, Youth Dance Company, SCREEN31, Square Pegs and other projects in schools such as the Animation Project in Thanet and Into Film project with Canterbury Academy.
Fun Fact: I’m one half of a poetry and art creative duo, currently performing around the Kent festival circuit!
